Artesian Farms is a vertical hydroponic farm located in New Buffalo, Michigan that grows fresh greens and herbs year-round using an indoor, climate-controlled system. Founded in 2011 inside a reclaimed industrial building, the farm produces pesticide-free, non-GMO lettuce, kale, arugula, basil, and other greens using a closed-loop growing system that dramatically reduces land and water use compared to conventional farming. Their vertically stacked growing system allows them to harvest greens many times throughout the year and deliver incredibly fresh produce to local communities just hours after harvest.
