article A Road Trip, A Hidden Story & A Call to Action

Last week, MariKate visited Dietrich Ranch up near Rockford. Dan, the rancher behind much of the beef and pork you enjoy from Kakadoodle, welcomed her to his beautiful farm. Picture this: cattle grazing freely on lush, nutrient-rich pastures, sipping from a gentle creek. It truly felt like stepping into a fairy tale!
But MariKate wasn’t just there to admire the scenery... she was on a mission to transport three cows to a specialty processor in Indiana. This particular processor will help us create all-beef hot dogs, jerky, meat sticks, and more—products that stay true to our commitment to chemical-free, locally sourced food. It was a long day, but we believe it will be well worth the effort.
Stay tuned for these exciting new additions!
The New York Times Story That Didn’t Run
Some of you a photo of us in the The New York Times yesterday... Marty in a hazmat suit, walking through our empty coop after the bird flu outbreak. What the article didn’t mention was Kakadoodle. There’s a deeper story involving a national reporter, a government food program, thousands of dollars in wasted eggs, and a conflict of interest that quietly buried it all.
We believe in transparency and think you deserve to know the full story. Read more about it here: The New York Times Story That Didn’t Run
A Concerning Dip in Sales
We’ve noticed a significant decline in sales over the past few weeks. While summer and kids getting off of school might be factors, it’s still a bit concerning.
We’re reaching out to you, our customers, for ideas... If you have any thoughts on how to spread the word about Kakadoodle within your network, we’re open and eager to collaborate. Just reply to this email with any suggestions.
Otherwise, please continue to support us by adding to your cart. Every purchase helps sustain our mission of providing clean, chemical-free food to our community.
