Fall is here, and as we transition into cooler months, change is also happening in our community. We've been so fortunate to partner with Fox at the Fork over the past couple of years, enjoying their delicious, fresh salads and vegies. They've been a reliable source of locally grown, chemical-free produce that has graced our tables and nourished our families. We want to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude to Fox at the Fork for their incredible contributions. Thank you for bringing such vibrant and healthy food to our lives!
However, as Fox at the Fork winds down its operations, we’re excited to introduce you to a new farm that shares our commitment to sustainability, chemical-free farming, and community. We are transitioning all salad orders to Silver Creek Farm, and if you have a subscription to salad, we’ll be switching you over to Silver Creek (more info on that below).
Meet Silver Creek Farm: A New Partner in Freshness
Located just west of us in Ladd, IL, Silver Creek Farm is about an hour and a half from Frankfort, just past Ottawa. Owned by Tony Stirling, Silver Creek is a year-round greenhouse farm that specializes in hydroponic lettuce, tomatoes, and other fresh, local produce. They use a controlled environment to grow their crops, ensuring that you get the freshest produce regardless of the season.
What makes Silver Creek Farm stand out is their commitment to chemical-free farming and sustainability. Tony and his team grow lettuce hydroponically, which allows them to maintain a clean, eco-friendly operation while producing top-quality greens year-round. Whether you're making a crisp fall salad or using their lettuce to add some crunch to a sandwich, you can trust that their produce is clean, nutritious, and free of harmful chemicals.

Salad Subscription Changes
All current salad subscriptions will automatically move over to Silver Creek Farm, so you won’t miss a single delivery of fresh, sustainable greens. We’re thrilled to offer 8 oz. bags of hydroponic lettuce from Silver Creek, priced at $7.13 per bag.
If you’re already subscribed, there’s nothing you need to do—just keep an eye out for an email from us confirming the change. Your salads will soon come from Silver Creek, offering the same chemical-free quality you love, with even more freshness!
