So... We’re supposed to get our first real snowfall of the season tomorrow ❄️ — but we’re still planning to open up the farm market! It’s where you’ll find most of the wonderful Kakadoodle products we offer online… but in real life. If the roads aren’t too bad, come swing by. Visit the animals, grab a warm cup of coffee on us, and say hi. Maybe even pick up a few good eats while you’re here.

Honestly, these market days are one of the highlights of our week. Getting to see you, hear what you’re cooking, and just connect — it’s what keeps this whole thing meaningful.

If the snow really starts to come down and no one’s around, we might close up early. But don’t worry — eggs and honey are always stocked in our self-serve farm stand.

And just for fun, here’s a pic of Dennis the turkey showing off in front of the market last week. (Yes, he’s still around. And yes, he knows he’s handsome.)

Don't Tell Anybody...

It’s become a little Thanksgiving tradition of ours to go to the Chicago parade. Normally, this means bundling up and freezing our butts off. But this year was different… we stayed at the Palmer House the night before — and don’t tell anyone, but the 4th floor view is a game-changer. No more shivering on the sidewalk. Still takes a 5 am wake‑up to claim your spot though… thanks Mom.

A fun small‑world moment: You've heard me talking about the Farmpreneur program I was invited to attend this January. So... the family we shared the window with to watch the parade was from California… and it turns out they’re good friends with the founder of the Farmpreneur program. What!? Total coincidence. Wild.

New Ham Roasts Are Here

This year for Thanksgiving, we tried something new — a ham roast alongside our turkey. First time doing it, and honestly? Total hit. It's quite the impressive cut, and received so many compliments.

Grateful for my mom for braving the early morning to save us a seat at the parade.

Grateful for Stephanie for taking care of the animals (as she does most days) so our family could be together.

Grateful for our health.

Grateful for a year that stretched us, taught us, and still moved us forward.

And grateful for every customer who showed up for Kakadoodle this year in ways we never expected. 🙏
