newsletter Fall decor, fresh jerky, and egg bites

This week we picked up corn stalks and straw bales for fall décor. Every year people love them, and in the past, we even delivered straight to homes. It was fun (and a nice little revenue boost for us), but this year we’re keeping it simple: pickup only at the farm stand.

It was a tough call. Sure, revenue is tempting (especially after bird flu + grant drama 😬), but not all growth is good growth. Sometimes it’s about focusing on what really matters... making it easy for families to get clean, local food without spreading ourselves too thin.

If you’re curious about how we made that decision, I wrote more about it here:
👉 Why We’re Not Delivering Fall Décor This Year (Even Though It’s Tempting)

Jerky Time 🥩

Okay, I’m so excited about this—beef jerky is officially here!
👉 Grab your jerky here

And let me tell you, this is not the gas-station jerky you’re used to. MariKate drove up to Dietrich Ranch outside Rockford (in the oldest livestock trailer ever 😂), loaded up three cattle, and took them to a processor in Indiana. Same folks who make our all-beef hot dogs (which you also need to try if you haven’t yet).

The cows are grass-finished, raised the way they’re supposed to be, and the jerky is clean and delicious. Perfect for tossing in your bag, keeping in the car, or bribing your kids between soccer practice and dinner.

Egg Bites coming to Frankfort Farmers Market

Last Sunday was a big one for us—we brought our brand-new egg bites to the Tinley Park Farmers Market for the first time… and you all wiped us out! 🥚🔥 Totally sold out. The feedback has been amazing, and honestly, it feels so good to see something we’ve been working on for a long time finally get into your hands (and bellies).

If you didn’t get a chance to try them, don’t worry—we’ll have them tomorrow at the Frankfort Farmers Market. Swing by, grab some, and let us know what you think. These egg bites are kind of our “test run” into ready-to-eat foods. We know mornings are crazy, especially with kids, and if we can give you something quick, healthy, and actually clean—no junk, no chemicals—that feels like a win for everyone.

Thanks for showing up for us (and for clean food). It really does mean the world. 💛
