newsletter Gift Kakadoodle, Get $40
Holy cold, right? 🥶 Another week of battling frozen water lines out here. We finally landed on a backup that’s working (for now): a long trough made from 3” PVC with a slow trickle to keep it from freezing. Not fancy, but it’s doing the job.
What’s wild is that there’s still no standard system for watering pastured chickens in winter. All the big poultry systems focus on indoor birds, so they’ve never had to solve this. It’s kind of crazy — and also a reminder of how different real outdoor farming actually is. We’re piecing it together and learning a lot along the way. More updates soon.

🍫 New Products Are Coming… Slowly and Intentionally
You’re going to start seeing a few new items trickle out from us soon — chocolate, olive oil, tea. I know, YUM.
But I also want you to know — we don’t take these decisions lightly.
Adding new products isn’t just about expanding the shop. It’s about strengthening what we’re building… without losing the heart of it. We’ve seen other companies slide into “just another online grocery store” mode, and that’s not where we’re headed.
We’re sticking to our roots:
- Small regenerative farms
- No chemicals
- Total transparency
But yes, we are growing. And we want to bring you along in that process.
If you’re curious about how we’re thinking through these new additions — how we choose new products, what standards we’re holding, and how we’re protecting the mission — I wrote about it here:
