As we settle into November, there's a fresh flurry of activity on the farm that we’re excited to share with you. The air is crisp, and with the holiday season right around the corner, we’re gearing up to bring even more healthy, locally sourced goodness your way!
Welcome to Our New Feathered Friends!
Big news! We just welcomed 1,000 new pullets to our farm. For those wondering, pullets are young chickens, around 16 weeks old, who are just about ready to start laying eggs. These new additions mean we’ll have even more fresh, pasture-raised eggs ready to grace your breakfast table in the coming months.
To accommodate our new flock and ensure they stay comfortable through the colder months, we’ve been hard at work constructing a new high tunnel for their winter housing. Plus, we just wrapped up trenching water lines to our coops—an essential upgrade that will keep the water flowing even during the frosty winter days. Next on our list? Insulating the distribution center so we don’t freeze our tails off!
