article So Many Eggs & Irish Beef Stew

Let’s bring some sunshine to this gloomy day! Something that might bring you a little extra joy today is knowing that your support of Kakadoodle is truly making a difference, not just for us farmers, but for our community. In the first two months of 2024, Kakadoodle has donated over 3,200 dozen eggs to local food banks! We are on a mission to feed our community real, chemical-free food and have been work towards that goal through donations to Loaves & Fishes, ShareFest of Will Countyand other local organizations. Thank you for your support of us, so that we can continue to support those seeking food from food banks.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT: Eggs

We love of all of the products in our Kakadoodle marketplace, but our high quality eggs will always have a special place since that is what started this incredible farm fresh community. All of our chickens are pasture-raised and fed a non-GMO diet (boosted with Omega 3), so we are really proud of the eggs we provide you and your family. We offer a few different types of eggs, but all have the same health benefits.

  • Pasture Raised Chicken Eggs: These are the classic eggs that you can depend on for all of your meals, from breakfast to dessert! Plus, our eggs weigh 65g which is considered “Extra Large” in terms of label.
  • Jumbo Chicken Eggs: If our regular eggs are considered “Extra Large,” these bad boys are massive, weighing about 90g on average! This is great if your looking for more egg volume with just one yolk. They also add extra moisture to your baked goods, resulting in a fluffy texture. BONUS – we just reduced the price!
  • Rainbow Chicken Eggs: These beautiful eggs are great conversation starters and the perfect natural décor to your kitchen table. We only have a limited supply so order early for Easter.

Featured Recipe: Homemade Mayonnaise

  • 1 whole Kakadoodle egg
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • ¼ tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup avocado oil
  1. Add the egg, lemon juice, vinegar, mustard, and salt to the jar that came with your immersion blender. Slowly pour the oil on top and let it settle for a minute.
  2. Place your stick blender in the jar and press it firmly to the bottom, making sure it's covering the egg yolk. Turn it on and keep it pressed against the bottom of the jar for at least 10 to 15 seconds, without moving it.

SOMETHING EXTRA

Next week is St. Patrick’s Day so be sure to update your cart accordingly! We recommend ordering our Beef Stew Meat to make this classic Irish Beef Stew recipe. Microgreens also add a festive vibe to any plate as the sprouts look like little clovers.
