Big shoutout to everyone who’s been coming out to the farm market on Saturdays — it’s been such a joy for MariKate and me to meet you in person. Days like today, with over 80 customers (many of them new!), keep us feeling energized and hopeful. Quite a few of you mentioned finding us through our video shorts — and apparently TikTok decided to send a bunch of Tinley Park folks our way. We’ll take it!

The online market is moving too — last week was our top-grossing yet, with deliveries going out to nearly 300 families. That said, we’re not popping champagne just yet. We’ve got a long way to go before we can really call this a "success" — financially or otherwise. So if you’ve been meaning to place an order, now’s a great time. Every single one really does help move this whole thing forward.

The Week I Spent Crying with Farmers

Last week, I was away at a retreat with a group of other farmers — kind of like group therapy for folks trying to grow their farm businesses into something bigger and more sustainable. And yes, there was literally a moment where we stood in a circle and cried together. If you told me that was going to happen before I went, I probably wouldn't have gone!
