As the leaves fall and the air gets crisp, there's nothing more comforting than a warm bowl of chili. This Pumpkin Turkey Chili is a hearty, nourishing one-pot meal that brings together the richness of autumn flavors with the goodness of clean, chemical-free ingredients.

📝 Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean ground turkey or ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional but pairs beautifully with pumpkin!)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, avocado slices, yogurt, cilantro microgreens, crushed tortilla chips

🔥 Instructions

  1. Sauté aromatics: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Cook turkey: Add ground turkey (or chicken). Break apart with a spatula and cook until no longer pink.
  3. Season: Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add remaining ingredients: Stir in pumpkin purée, beans, diced tomatoes, and broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer: Reduce heat to low and let simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  6. Serve & top: Ladle into bowls and top with your favorite fixings—try it with a dollop of Yogurt or shredded Cheddar Cheese!
